transfering recordings from receiver

Is it possible to transfer recordings to a computer and watch them on the computer?

just to clarify as you are new here and may not know where to start from-- if you are on the first page for the Dish Network forum (NOT HERE this page) look at upper right for small box that says "search this forum".

if you type in transfer recording-- it would pull out all threads that talk about transfer recordings.
