Transponder Signals

I was messing around in Point Dish last night, changing transponder numbers on various satellites, and I found ones alot higher than what comes up by default. How do I know if my DVR is using the best signal available? Or is that up to the receiver?

tweak your dish starting from weakest tpn - make its SS high as possible

To answer the poster's question: there are only so many channels on each transponder. The receiver picks the transponder based on what channel you want.

Yeah it depends on what channel you are watching as to what transponder you are on.
