Trouble adding NBA Package

I have a grandfathered in account where I only have the NFL Package. I don't have any other programming.

I wanted to add the NBA package, but they said that I needed to add some sort of channel programming. I don't want to spend $ for a monthly channel package when I have a better deal through cable.

Is there any way to get the NBA package without signing up for additional channels?

Nope, have to have a base programming package to get NBA LP.

And just to let you know, as of '05 you will no longer be able to have NFL ST by itself.
Best option if you want either of those packages is to subscribe to a minimal programming package during the regular season, then suspend when you don't need the NFL or NBA.
