Trouble with my new External Hard Drive

Hey Guys, I just got a new 1 TB FreeAgent and hooked it up...called Dish Network to activate and formatted the hard drive about 5 times now. Why does it keep telling me to reformat the hard drive? Has anyone else had this problem? I'm using a 622...

You may have a bad drive (could also be the power supply). Try it on a PC. Also, you should get the drive utility from Seagate and disable the Spin-Down. The utility also has a drive diagnostic you can run.
