Yes. Unless you plan to use a switch with the D1000, you'll have to run 3 cables to the switch. One for each satellite location.

Yes, but the 129 LNB is probably a DP Dual (Singles aren't made anymore), and the DP Plus unit is a DPP Twin.

dual = 1 LNB, 2 outputs
Twin = 2 LNBs, 2 outputs, internal switch, DPP version adds an input
