TV remote use with Hopper 3

I just had to replace my Hopper due to an equipment failure.
With the old Hopper I could use my TV remove to turn the Hopper on and off, as well as change channels. However this no longer works using the same remote and the new Hopper.

I see in the Hopper setup on how to program the Dish remote to work a TV, but how do I go about getting my Samsung TV remote to work with the Hopper? The Samsung remote is NOT a programmable remote. It just 'worked' with the old Hopper.

Using your Dish remote press Home, Home, Settings, Remote Control. Go down to HDMI-CEC and turn it on. Go down to Limited Mode and make sure it is off.

I was also going to suggest making sure Infrared Reception is turned On, in case the TV remote had been controlling the old Hopper that way.

Good point! You find that in the same Remote Control Settings just below HDMI-CEC and Limited Mode.
