Guys, is there a tv tuner or tv tuner card that I can use with my Dish Network DVR (digital, Hi Def) but that I can connect to the incoming antenna instead of to the back of the DVR so that I don't have to PHYSICALLY change the channels on the DVR? (the one that records 350 hours or whatever)

Ie, my DVR is dual tuner which means I can record two channels at the same time but can I get a card that has a tuner but that connects to the COAX coming in to the DVR and thus get a THIRD channel I can record at the same time?

Is this possible?

Hauppage said their cards cannot do that because my DVR was digital but it says their cards have digital tuners?

Mind you, ideally I would just find a solution where I can record something on the DVR and then just download it on my computer. Ie, Archos PocketDish but the problem is that it's proprietary format and I can't do anything with it.

Also, my DVR had the capability to use External drives which I use for storage but again, I can't hook those up to my computer as it won't see them because of the proprietary formatting.

Any ideas?

Thanks

George
