Tv/Video problem with Dish Remote

Hello My father just had dish setup at his house and his tv/video button will not change tv inputs. He has an older 60" RCA tv and channel up will go to Channel 2 and channel down will go to Vid 1 and Channel 69. I need the tv to go to Vid 2. I have tried all of the codes in the book to no avail. Is there anything else I need to try to get the tv to Vid 2 or does he need to just not change the channel when I'm not around with my logitech remote?

Some RCAs used 90,91 & 92 to choose the inputs. You might also need to go into the menu to activate input 2.

video 2 is active as if I use my old directv remote it changes to it by pressing tv/video. my tv actually has Vid 1, 2, 3, and then cable/air channels with 3 being a gamecube and 1 being dvd. If i use the D* remote it changes fine but the E* remote will not do anything except channel up and down. I tried 90,91, 92 but they were just static channels.

You either have the wrong code in the remote it work the tv, or you restricted the remote from full operation of the tv.

I have a sylvania tv, my dish's remote tv/video button will not switch inputs on the tv.

My experience some do some don't. It's just a universal remote.
