Two down leads from one antenna

Is it better to run two down leads from an antenna or one down lead and use a splitter?

One down lead imo is better,then split it.

And then if you need a distro amp it is easier to get at. Or if you have to replace the splitter (rare).

I always use one down lead to a distribution amp that runs to whatever TV's, instead of a splitter, to avoid the 2 to 5db loss of a splitter.
