Two games were cut off while still in play yesterday by DTV.

The 2nd game of the doubleheader between the Giants & Marlins went blank at 4PM PDT.

More annoying...The marathon 18 inning Reds & Padres game went blank at the crucial part of the bottom of the 18th inning...precisely @ 7PM PDT.

Is this a switch that gets phyiscally flipped or does a feed automatically end after so many scheduled hours? Is there no way to fix this? If I were a big fan of any of these teams, I would be really pissed. As a paying customer of Extra Innings I am upset because it is an infringment on my subscription.

I was cut off from both games too, atleast the Cox4 feed was cutoff but the FSN Ohio feed on the FSN Ohio channel was in the clear for the rest of the game. I have heard some people were not cutoff from the Cox4 feed though. I thought the Marlins game was cutoff originally because of the ESPN Sunday Night blackout window, but MLB.TV had the game in the clear.

How did I miss this thread? :D I wrote about this on the blog at the strike zone channel on Sunday. Barry (one of the hosts - Wednesday and Friday) was suppose to of forwarded it to the right person at DirecTV. Where have I heard that before? The bottom line is that DirecTV needs EI employees to work the weekends. Timers are automatically set to turn off after 6 hours. I lost both the Reds and Padres feeds. I'm glad to see others noticed.
