Any advantage type 1 or type 2 :: composite vs metal,
longivevity,ease of installation. all i see for sale are type 1's
i saw a recent photo of a perforated [holes] type 1 [why]
Thanks :: Paul

I have a type 1 superdish. I am told the type 2 is easier to point. The one you saw thats perforated is for less wind loading. Maybe wrong but I don't think its available yet. I would like to try the type 2 for myself and do a comparison. I think the type two would probably be better .

The 105 metal SuperDish appears to be the only one that uses standard-size LNBFs for all three locations, which is good for something :)

I liked the plastic dishes better because they seemed more durable and wont bend and ding as easily as the metal ones.
