AT&T announced this morning that they've launched their VDSL-based IPTV service U-Verse in parts of Tulsa, Jenks and Owasso, Oklahoma. The company says they still plan to pass approximately 30 million living units by the end of 2010, and AT&T hopes to serve more than 1 million customers by year-end 2008. The company now offers the service in parts of 43 markets across 22 states. Prices and bundle packages are available here.

Does anyone have U-Verse and do they like it? How do the channels compare with Dish and DTV? My yard is wooded and I cannot receive a dish signal from either provider. I have Comcast, hate it, and am waiting for U-Verse to come to my area. Any comments would be appreciated.

Does anyone have U-Verse and do they like it?

Don't have it myself, but I was watching it at a friend's house the other evening. In my opinion, absolutely horrible. There were a lot of macro blocking compression artifacts.
