What the hell they removed support for Alexa. It was not working, checked and got the updates to both hopper 3 and joey4k. Tried to go back into settings to see what the issue is and I can't find anything regarding Alexa (or even google support). This sucks.
EDIT: Looks like the Alexa and Google setting are on the Hopper but not on the Joey. Tried disabling/re-enabling the skill and still will not work.
EDIT: I still have the options on my phone Alexa App but I cannot get it to work on either Hopper or Joey. Tried rebooting as well and nada. Looks like the update broke it. I wish F'in Dish would just leave well enough alone already.
Is anyone else having the same issue? Thanks!

WOW...I use her when my hands are tied up or remote out of reach...Hope it's just a mistake.
I use it all the time when I am working as I cannot see the TV in my office but I like to hear it as it's so quiet without it on.
Weird now Alexa is working. I did not do anything else. Maybe it was a network issue on their end.
The download sseems to have solved my problem with viewing recordings on WRZB-LD ( a local low pwer station). Hopefully it will last---though for all I know it is just coincidence that it works right now.
I assume like U715, U536 changed the stupidly named Rentals folder to On Demand Rentals and Downloads
No, but it seems that auto-updates are zonked in a lot of cases. I keep seeing old soiftware on more and more Hoppers. I just did an update for a Hopper/Sling that was still on 714, for example, plus my H3 was in standby for 2 weeks while I was out of town and when I came back, it still had U535 on it
Is it normal for the 4K Joeys to receive updates ahead of the H3? Both of mine show U655 June 19.

I have tried over and over to manually pull down the newest update on the HWS in the small hope that it fixes the OTA problem before having to give up and revert to Dish locals. No luck on getting the update.
Try following this sequence to see if you can get the newest update to download.
All I've noticed was the Rentals folder and now Voice Search is across the bottom of the screen. In Netflix the programming is properly labeled as Ultra 4K and whatnot. Just wish my 4K TV would switch to 4K. Alexa, however severely limited, still works for me.
I manually updated my two HWSes yesterday from 714 to 716. Took a few minutes. Can't say I've noticed any differences.
