This game matters...

State of play: Group C
A draw at Club Brugge KV would guarantee Real Zaragoza (6 points) a place in the next round and they could even lose and progress provided FK Austrian Wien did not win at FC Utrecht, who are already eliminated. Brugge and Austria both have four points but the Belgian side are third by virtue of goals scored and so they need only match Austria's result on Matchday 4 to advance.

Here are the latest standings in Group C:

Code:
Club Played Points
-------------------------
Dnipro 4 9
Zaragoza 3 6
Club Brugge 3 4
Austria 3 4
Utrecht 3 0
The Utrecht-Austria match is played today as well.

Matt, is there any chance to have same night re-air for UEFA Cup games in the future?

Starting with the next round of the UEFA Cup, games will be re-aired that night.

As well, coverage of EuroLeague Basketball will re-air same night.

Matt

That's great! UEFA Cup is almost always on business days, and it's hard to wait till Friday for a replay. (Of course, once the DVR is released, this won't be an issue;))

And since you mentioned it, could you tell us more about the EuroLeague Basketball?
Perhaps in its own thread: WorldSport HD: Euro Basketball 1/6/05

On 12.22 a complete EuroLeague schedule will be available at voomhdsports.com.

I will see what we can get together before that time.

Matt

Well, 1-1 would suffice Real Zaragoza!

From UEFA.com:

There has been a goal in the Netherlands. Austria have taken a 2-1 lead in the 78th minute. That scoreline means that Brugge are going out of the UEFA Cup.

We have 8 minutes plus stoppage to go in a 1-1 match

Good news for Zaragoza!
