Well the sales are starting on 2016 models in front of CES.

After much thought I went for the Samsung UN65KS9000. Considered the Sony and really wanted an LG OLED set, but simply couldn't justify the price. Best Buy price matched and will deliver next week.

I was really tempted when Costco was selling the 9000 for $2,399 but I decided I would wait for a FALD display. If I was forced to buy today, I'd probably opt for the Vizio P series and use the savings to replace it "early" when what UHD represents settles out (I'm thinking within five years).

OLED seems like a technology that isn't finished yet and paying that much for something that doesn't decisively swamp the competition by most measures is pretty hard core.

I tend to keep my stuff a long time. This is replacing a nine year old 50" Panny plasma. The Panny is moving into the bedroom, replacing an ancient 32" lcd set with a failing backlight.

Yes, I won't have the stud system in 6 months. I don't care. This works for me.
