My wife and I will be cruising through the Panama Canal (old) in March. We will be doing it on the Holland America Oosterdam going from San Antonio, Chile up the South American cost with stops in Chile, Peru and Ecuador before going the canal. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've cruised through the canal, the old one, three times on Windstar. The first time was awesome. The other two we were sent through in the middle of the night which was very disappointing. Spent most of the day on the Pacific side waiting for our turn to go through. No idea how the priority for such things are decided.

Yeah. Report back and let us know how it went.

And don't mention "Manuel Noriega" while you're there.
Have me over for dinner and I will tell you all about it

Seriously though I was hoping for some advice on what to look for

Occasionally seceral fols have kicked around the idea of a an area get together. It never happened----unless you did it without me. It would be fun though.
