Update satellite database on receiver

New to this stuff. Just got a coolsat 5000 receiver and the satellite database
is not up to date according to Lynsat site.

Also as I get on a satellite and do a blind scan and see the guality go green but
it dosen't register a channel. So I can't tell what satellite I am on. See nothing.

try and scan "all"..even if the channel is scrambled, at least we can tell what satellite you're on

Once you have that established, get yourself a copy of Channel Master software for editing channels on your CS5000. Worth getting because I HATE using the remote to move channels around.

Save your current config when hooked up to Channel Master, then create your new config and reload. It's fun. You can also place satellites in order of degree on your list.
