Has anyone noticed over the last couple of days that USA HD is not showing any HD programming? Something was going on yesterday for a few hours too where the Cleveland ABC local was mapped to 005-00 and to 008-00 (where the Cleveland Fox station is).

Is something odd going on with the Dish uplinks?

Stumbled on Mission: Impossible II on TBS-HD this wknd and it looked great, even OAR! Of course all those commercials and damn pop-ups make it nearly unwatchable, but it was nice to see good HD from one of these channels. Maybe they'll eventually all learn...

Just like when you buy an HDTV everything isn't magically in HD, when a program is put on an HD station, it doesn't magically become HD. IT HAS TO BE SHOT IN HD TO BE HD!!!!!!!! It can be upconverted off of certain types of film, hence what Blu Ray does, but it CANNOT be upconverted off of video. So don't expect to see Cheers reruns in HD.

Actually most film types have a resolution greater than that of 1920x1280 so no upconvert needed, just a remaster. This would include Cheers as it was shot to film.
