Can I get an explanation of the differences of user 1/2. How it works in setting a recording or the benefits or pitfalls.

What is the difference between user 1 and user two on my VIP-922?

It is just a way for the receiver to designate tuner 1 or tuner 2. Since the 922 doesn't have dual mode it really doesn't come in to play unless you are slinging.
