University of South Florida sports fans will be able to see a lot more of their favorite teams on Bright House Networks.

USF Athletics and ESPN Regional Television, which holds multimedia rights to Bulls broadcasts, said they have a "landmark partnership" with Bright House Networks, the Tampa Bay area's largest cable TV provider.

The five-year agreement names Bright House Networks as the "official cable partner" of USF sports, and allows the company to showcase the Bulls on its Catch 47 all-sports channel.

Catch 47 will have programming rights to produce or air selected USF and Big East Conference football and men's basketball games on a live or tape delay basis.

Bright House Networks will exercise rights to air USF's upcoming football games against Rutgers on Nov. 5 and Cincinnati on Nov. 19.

Three of the Bulls' previous games this season were telecast nationally on ESPNU, a new college cable sports channel.

The Bright House Networks partnership "increases the profile" of USF sports in the Bay area, allowing local fans to tune in to additional Bulls programs such as women's basketball and Olympic sports, USF Athletics Director Doug Woolard said in a release.

The new partnership includes cross-promotional considerations, with USF receiving advertising opportunities on Catch 47 as well as Bay News 9 and Bright House Networks getting exposure during games at the Sun Dome along with other Bulls-related promotions.
