Verizon Telecom has lowered the price for its VoiceWing Broadband Phone service, which enables customers to make unlimited local and long-distance
calls to the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories
using their broadband Internet connection. The VoiceWing Unlimited Plan is
$24.95 a month, no matter what broadband connection customers use.
Previously, the service was $29.95 for Verizon broadband customers and
$34.95 for other broadband users. Verizon also offers a VoiceWing 500 Plan
that provides 500 minutes of local and domestic long-distance calling for
$19.95 a month. Both plans also offer low, per-minute rates for
international calling. VoiceWing customers use a small telephone adapter
provided by Verizon to connect their phone to their home high-speed
Internet connection. The service works with DSL, cable-modem broadband
connections and Verizon Telecom’s new FiOS fiber-optic-based broadband
service. VoiceWing is offered in parts of 37 states. To learn more about
VoiceWing, visit www.verizon.com/voicewing.
