Hi all,

I was wondering if I could have a problem here or if this is just the way it is.

I have not been paying attention to singal strengths for YEARS since I have had near flawless service for ever. But the other day I was watching some Universal HD when the signal kept on popping in and out. No weather here (other than very hot 101° officially in the area) and none I could see on the national radar in Cheyenne.

I looked at the signal strengths and I was shocked to see that I was getting a signal of 50-52 sometimes winking out to zero on tp 20 and 22 at 61.5°. Other even transponders were a little low (65-70 -- normal is about 75-80) and some even tps were as high as 75 which is close enough to normal in this area to convince me the dish is aimed okay and there is no real blockage of the signal. The clincher is that E*12 (Rainbow 1) signals are in the 80-85 range.

So what could be the deal? Is E*3 in just that bad a shape or could there be something going on with my equipment on my end (DP34 switch with a Twin and a dual LNB feeding a 622 and a 501 receiver)?

FYI, tps 20 and 22 at 61.5° are now hovering about 55 and the rest of the evens are at 65-70 range still. Odds are at 70-75 with a few hitting 85.

See ya

I havent had 61.5 set up for maybe 6 months but I use to have some TP's 100+ on there including the SA channels (I know one is odd and one is even but both were 100+)

Almost sounds like the dish isnt aimed 100% properly

Thanks. In this part of the country 80 is pretty good for 61.5° that is why I wanted to find out if it could be something else first before I go out there to tweak. :) Especially in 100° heat!

See ya
