I re-sold the Viewsat MAX HD FTA receiver to a customer back in 2009 by purchasing through Megasat USA, but have not been able to get in touch with them to secure additional units. Plus I was told by a second supplier that Viewsat was out of business. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not?

Also would like a recommendation on a unit to replace the MAXHD purchased earlier.

Viewsat is out of business. Has been since January I believe. It had to do with the lawsuit brought against them by Charlie for hacking.

Any suggestions for a replacement HD receiver with similar specs?

The AZBox is probably the current favorite HD receiver. The Sathawk has come a long way, but is being discontinued soon.
