I was wanting to get a second satellite dish and set it up at our Boat Marina. This would allow me to take my Vip 211 receiver from home and watch Standard Definition (will use regular non HD TV) TV out there. My question is what dish antenna do I need to get? Do I need a special LNB? since this is a HD receiver (again watching standard definition). Craigs list has several dishes listed cheap but I am unsure If they would work. Any help would be appreciated.

For SD on one receiver, I think a DP Twin or DP Quad LNB on a Dish 500 will work for you. I think you'll want both 110 and 119 for your SD. A legacy twin might also work, since I believe the 211 is backwards compatible.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

If you don't want to perform a check switch test each time you re-locate the 211, suggest that you use the same switch setup at both locations.
