Hi,

I am a newbie so pardon my ignorance. My DishNetwork installation is scheduled for this coming Sunday and I have a few questions:

(BACKGROUND: I am getting the AT250 + HD channels and am scheduled to have one ViP222 box installed for 2 TVs -- 1 HD and 1 SD)

1) Will I be able to successfully use my existing Tivo Series 2 DVR with the ViP222 satellite receiver?

2) Or should I upgrade to the ViP622 and use the built-in DVR?

NOTE: I understand the ViP622's DVR probably records in HD as my old, antiquated Tivo Series 2 only records in standard def.

Just curious if I will encounter heartache and pain trying to get the Tivo to work with the ViP222?

Thanks in advance!
Dave T.

No brainer, get the 622. Really the HD itself is worth it. But there are a ton of additional reasons on top of that.

Besides, if you really are hung up on the Tivo2, it can drive the 622 just like a 222. But I bet you don't use it past day one. : D
