VIP222k connect Dish1000

I have a VIP222k and am trying to connect a Dish1000 to it. I would also like to run two tv's. The Dish1000 has two cables coming out of it and I believe I need to get them to one cable, then use a separator to get a single coax to the VIP222k and another to the 2nd tv.

What type of device to I need to get the two cables to one. Or is there another or better way to handle this problem. The run from the satellite to the receiver is less than 50 feet.

You need to run one cable from the dish to the ViP222K and install the separator at the receiver (or just run both cables).

Serving the second TV is a whole other can of worms and doesn't involve additional cabling from the satellite dish. The second TV gets a cable (or something simulating a cable) coming direct from the ViP222 distribution output (yellow F connector?).
