I believe I have a super dish 1000.4 it was installed less then a month ago. Every time it rains I lose signal. Not just the bad storms every time... I had a technician come out and realign the dish once already but the problem continues. My dish get sats 61.5 72 and 77. How can I tell if the signal strength is where it should be when I go into the menu installation and to point dish I mostly see signals in the 50's but not sure if I am on the right transponders and stuff like that. What should I be looking for?

Thanks in advance!

If you are seeing the dish, the tuner database picks the transponders.

Signal strength on the transponders is the only thing that can be effected by misalignment and that's all you can do anything about.

You are looking for signal in the 60's

Signal strength in the 50's is not good enough as your report indicates. You need a minimum of 66 for sound operation of your system. Anyone reporting errors while below this threshold needs to have their signal increased first.

50's is not optimal signal, but you should not loose lock at that level, signal should lock down to the lower 40's maybe lower.
