vip612 w/ddp twin good for only 5 min.

i have a weird case... going crazy.... i have a vip612 hookep up to a dpp twin with a dp lnb connected to the input port.. seeing 119 110 and 61.5.... if i unplug the cable for about an hour and plug it back in everything works good for about 5 min... then i start to loose signal on 119, first the sound is choppy and video stutters. i check switch and now cannot see 119 and 110 but 61.5 is good. i also have a vip211 and that one works great no issues gets good signal..... i've swapped cables, checked connections, swapped recievers etc........ is my vip612 bad?

sounds like a bad DPP Twin to me. A lot of them were heat-sensitive and would fail whenever they get hot.

but why would my vip211 work? no problems there.
