Kind of a dumb question...

All the marketing materials say that the ViP622's TV2 remote should have a blue key with a #2 at the bottom. Mine came with a black key that says UHF and no number.

Does this make any difference in terms of functionality?

Thanks!

Unless they packed the wrong remote(s), you should have 2 remotes:
- a 5.3 IR remote that has a Green Tab with a Black 1 on it; and
- a 6.3 IR/UHF PRO remote that has a Blue Tab with a Black 2 on it.

I suspect you have the above 2 remotes, but the packers were having fun and decided to screw with you and flip the Blue 2 Tab over so that it shows a Black UHF logo. (In this case, AUX MODE will operate TV1 via IR, and older receivers via UHF (but not UHF PRO), and it is possible that in SAT MODE, it will operate TV1 via IR.)

It does make a difference. On the 6.3 IR/UHF PRO remotes, the tab causes a 4 position slide switch to slide between the 4 various positions which changes how the remote acts.

To correct:
- Slide off the battery compartment.
- Slide off the tab.
- Flip the tab over and replace it.
- Replace the battery cover.

While you have the battery cover off, notice the black slide switch that shifts between 2 UHF PRO frequencies/channels.

NOTE: Do not try and remove the Green Tab on the 5.3 IR remote. It is not interchangable since it is only an IR remote.

NOTE: After you flip the TAB, either remote will operate the 622 when in SINGLE MODE. And in DUAL MODE - the Green 1 will operate TV1 via IR, and the Blue 2 will operate TV2 remote via UHF PRO.
