ViP722 questions?

I have a couple question the 722 dvr:

- does it have a feature like TiVo and the HR21; where while fast forwarding then you hit play will it back step a few frames?

- will the standard remote that comes with the 722 control the volume on a a/v receiver?

Question 1. No, Dish dvr does not work like a tivo in that respect and a lot of others as well.
2. Yes, the remote can control a/v units, you didn't mention yours so it hard to tell if it will or not.

There are several remote codes listed for Yahama, so you SHOULD be OK.
