VIP722K Problem

Hello, I have a VIP722K DVR dish box (Just to let you all know I'm not really tech savvy in terms of satelite and TV things)

So last night the box was working perfectly, we were watching TV on it. Then this morning when I try to turn it on, it does turn on, but nothing is being put on the TV.

I am sure I am on the right input, as I tried every other one, and the TV seems to think it's getting an input from that slot. I looked in the back and everything is still hooked up (to the right places I assume, as I haven't changed anything). Nothing was changed since last night and this morning, I'm 99% sure.

Also, the box seems to not be getting any signal from the remote, as I can not turn it off at all. I know the remote is on because it can still turn the TV and DVD player on and off.

So has anyone else experience the box sending a blank screen to the TV?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
 
Ok, I feel like an idiot. I tried the simplest and most obvious thing, unplugging and plugging back in 30 seconds later, and it worked...
...or not
it worked for a minute or two, then the screen went completely green, and I was unable to turn the box off.
I turned the tv off and on it was static, but still on the dish input.
Now it says it is getting no signal from the dish and only has 1 green light on again.
EDIT: unplugging and plugging back in does nothing

Call DISH and talk to the tech department and they will help determine if you need a replacement dvr or tech visit. If they do want to replace your dvr , add the dish insurance so you can escape paying out the ass for it.
