VOD 4k black screen

i wanted to rent my first 4k vod. captain phillips.
it was ready to watch and it goes to black screen and my tv says no hdmi signal.
i have 4k hdmi cables but they are all 1.4....
do i need 2.0 or 2.2?
i have a samsung uhd8500 and my settings are all good. any ideas?

i may have figured it out....
i have my dish going through my xbox one pass through. time to make a cable mess again.

also....what a difference in picture quality by eliminating my xbox one from the equation. and the 4k vod looks pretty good.

When I moved my H3 to a direct connect to my 4K Sharp TV I noticed a nice improvement to the PQ also. Wasn't expecting that.

i am looking to eliminate the xbox from my setup all together. i am a pc gamer anyway, just using it as a bluray player. but i just ordered a samsung
ubd-k8500 4k disc player. but this HDMI 2.2 is driving me crazy, but i am ready for all that copy protection BS
