VOD Rentals

New to VOD and hopper3 - So, I downloaded a free rental movie. As it turns out it is from TBS on demand. I didn't see this anywhere before I downloaded it. So, I'm wondering is this a tv edit of the film or original with all the cursing, violence, etc. in the original version? Are there going to be commercials? If there are edits, any way to know in advance if there are edits or it is the original version? Or if it is from a tv channel? Is it the same for all the tv channels?

well, I decided to watch one of the movies. It is edited - they said "stuff you." And there were commercials.

Now I know, but what I really want is a way to know if it is this way before I wasted my time and bandwith and data to download it, as I'd rather not watch a movie than watch it this way... Are all of the movies from tv channels this way?

If it is VOD from a TBS and the like you are going get their version.
