Voom receivers can easily be verified if capable of receiving OTA HDTV
channels by doing the following: go into the installation menu [VOOM]
[green] [green] then Installer Menu then Installation Wizard. At that
point selection 4 should be Scan Local Channels. If selection 4 is
Scan Local Channels, the receiver has been activated and has received
the most current firmware upgrade.

You should also verify that the OTA adapter is also supplied with the
unit. It is on the right side looking from the rear and there is a
double sided edge connector at the top and an antenna connector at the
top. The OTA adapter is often covered up by a diplexor that extends
out from the rear panel. The diplexor is not needed since the receiver
will only be used for OTA.
