The voom website has been update with details on their original programming

It looks like Epics will now be a part of Cinema 10 and Equator HD will take its place

Very good move. From the clips they are showing on VOOM, EquatorHD looks fantastic. I like this move because Epics really showed nothing I liked at all. I havent even stopped at the ch. It makes common sense to put it with the CIN 10. This way we might just get a very good addition without wasting any bandwidth.

I agree that it makes sense to merge it with Cinema 10.
I actually liked some of the movies they have shown on Epics, but most of the movies on Epics were also shown on one of the Cinema 10 channels at some point. It was sort of like Cinema 11, and it didn't make sense to have it on a separate channel.
I still don't understand why they call it "Epics." Few if any of the movies on it were really epics (though some of them were good movies, IMO). But the bottom line for me is the content; they can call it "kjljwoijuoiu" for all I care, as long as the movies are good.
Also looking forward to Equator HD. It looks like it will be sort of an HD version of National Geographic, with a sort of PBS / Discovery Channel flavor too. The kind of thing my dad used to call "educational" tv.

Epics is one of my most favorite channels! I watch it a lot, primarily because of the excellent non-Hollywood movie selection in HD, and because it was showing some of the movies in OAR! Now it looks like they are splitting this channel in two: HD World Cinema (Cinema2) and Epics (Cinema8). Works for me!
