[VOOM] is voom HD MOVIES better quality than DVD on general basis?

i always thought DVD was best but Iim seeing that VOOM MOVIES IN HD
ARE GENERALLY MUCH BETTER THAN DVD.IS IT TRUE DVD IS 480 WHERE AS
VOOM HD IS 720/1080

Yes dvd is only 480p. HD is 720p or 1080i.
