With all of the hoopla surrounding the launch of Voom!, have people not noticed that Cablevision customers are getting hosed again by not having ESPN2HD?

All of the early rounds at Wimbledon are on ESPN2, which means another major live sporting event that CV subscribers get robbed of in HD.

Nice timing by CV to have some positive press around an event where they would otherwise have had some severe negative press.

I thought I read that Wimbledon will not be in HD on NBC or ESPN. Correct me if I am wrong?

The ESPN site did list it as being in HD, but a quick check around at other forums makes it sound like that will not be so... instead, ESPN will be producing a 16x9 SD picture - the same as they did for the French Open.

Wonder if that will be available on the SD channel... probably not.
