Any new info on OTA after the end of VOOM?

[VOOM] Re: OTA

Who knows, it's a simple enough question though.
Which leads me to believe the STB will amount to a big heavy paper weight come 04/30.
VOOM could come out and say right away whether or not it will work.
The silence on the topic leads me to believe it wont work, we'll see soon enough.
I've been with VOOM since 11/06/03, they were more than fair from the start with me.
So I could live with the STB not getting OTA. But I can see alot of others being upset.
Just my 2¢

I'll miss VOOM

Re: [VOOM] Re: OTA

I could see an announcement like: "until we come and get the units they
will continue to function as OTA receivers...." If you've bought rather than
leased a unit then they definitely should continue with OTA...

[VOOM] Re: OTA

I've had my VOOM satellite cable disconnected for the last month, but
my OTA is still working fine. I would disconnect your cable before
VOOM shuts down and I'll bet that the OTA will still work for you.

[VOOM] Re: OTA

You may be good to you loose power. I believe if you loose power
even for a second then the reciver will look for a new
authorization. If you have a UPS maybe you can hook it to that
before Voom goes belly up for good.
