I saw very few people complaining about not receiving the refund on
the board. Does it mean most of the people switched from chartered
to month-to-month got their refund?

I am still waiting for my refund (10 weeks after the switch). When I
called them about a week ago they didn't have any record of my
calling several times (3-4) ove the last month or so. I was told
that my case would be transferred to the billing and it should be
sorted out soon (7-8 days for the cheque). The same explanation I
got the last couple of times also.

Can Wilt or Dragon??? let me know what should I do?

I'm still waiting on mine - but to be fair, they said it wouldn't process
until AFTER they received the hardware back from the installer, and that was
only about 3 weeks ago tops.

I think this is a pretty serious problem.

It has been 10 weeks since I used the MBG and requested my refund.
At the time, the change was processed without complication and I was
told that the check would be in the mail within 6-8 weeks. I called
last week to check on this and was also told that there was no
record of my refund. In other words, there was no check on the way.
However, the CS rep did acknowledge the error and that I was overdue
for my check and left word for the billing department to fix. I was
told that I would hear from the billing department within 3 days.

It has now been over a week and I have not heard back from the
billing dept and of course, getting a human on the phone there is
almost impossible now.

Seems like many of us are in the same boat.

Not sure what to do now except to keep calling, but this is
frustrating...

I'm hoping for the best and will keep calling...but (oddly) it's
somewhat reassuring that I'm not the only one who has had this
problem...

That's weird, I know two people who canceled.
One because of the little woman, and another who bought a house that
was historic in a historic zoned district NO sats allowed.
Both received refunds in about 45 days and in both cases the credit
card was credited. Not by check. maybe thats new with VOOM who knows.

Voom refunds. Well the timing on the refund depends on what type of refund it is. Voom does their billing ahead, so for example for the billing cycle june1st- june30th your would be charged on june 1st. If you cancel services and have allready been charged then the refund for services will be a prorate refund. Prorate refunds take 6 to 8 weeks and a check is sent in the mail for the refund. Over charge refunds are done directly onto your credit card. Equipment charge refunds are done directly to credit card. If you were a charter member, your money back guarantee on the equipment did expire some time ago, so if you cancel don't hope on getting your money back for that.
 
The refunds never go into processing unless the equipment is picked up by the isntaller and signed off on for cancels.
 
Charter member refund not received yet

I cancelled my charter membership and went to rental at the end of April and am still waiting for my $750 refund. No prorating necessary here, yet they put it as a credit on my account and are debiting the account everymonth against my protest. They agreed to send a check, yet have not done so.
 
As of today, still no refund. I've called Customer care several
times and they keep telling me the matter has been escalated and I
should see results within a few weeks. I guess we shall see.


By the way, VOOM customer service is a disorganized mess!
