I bought a Vuqube 1000 some years ago. I now see the new tailgator & vuqube 2100 (flex). The Vip211/211k/411 have th e"auto find" logic built into them..however, it appears you need the receive control logic (a programmed PIC) either in the vuqube (tailgator) or in a seperate control box (V2100). Does anyone know where I can get the schematics and SW to build a control box. Is that possible or am I forced to buy the newer dish?

The Tailgater does not have a good rep for reliability. I wouldn't go there, based on what you already have.
