Waiting for connection

I'm waiting for the installer to come. They won't be here until Tuesday or Wednesday. My question is can I connect an OTA air antenna and watch HD football with out the sat subscribed and set up.

I have an HR10-250 . I should be able to receive my locals with an antenna.

i dont believe it will work without it being activated, i could be wrong.

I have connected it and went to the OTA setup I'm showing 0 singal. I assume I'm spl.

Make sure you have the directv access card in the slot

and make sure you selected that you have OTA antenna feed only coming in.

make sure the sat feed is not selected in the setup menu

It was the Card. I was abel to get HD. It is a bit pixalated. I need to adjust antenna on the roof.
