Sorry, this isn't really voom related but funny and it happened on voom. I went home for lunch yesterday, and NBCHD had the womens gymnastics team finals on. It was between events 3 and 4, and the camera zoomed out like they were going to commercial, but they didn't. They showed a view from the top of the auditorium of the entire arena. There was about 30 seconds of silence, then you hear NBC's male announcer say, "Wasn't that last call bull****?" Another minute of possibly uncomfortable silence, then back to the action. Nothing major, but I got a good laugh out of it.

I did not hear that, but the US Women got some really crappy scores after what seemed really good performances.

That is because they had low start scores. In other words they had low degree of difficulty.

Oh, well that makes sense.

Yes! I heard it too, but wasn't 100% sure. It seemed as if the person saying it thought they were off-mike... but they weren't!

In the end though, it would have taken a heck of a lot more than an additional 0.2 points for the Americans to have caught the Romanians. And a silver medal is not too shabby!
