As far as I know, they have dishes that are Dish 500, Dish 1000, SuperDISH, etc. This is what my sales confirmation says:

EQUIPMENT: 110/119 ORBIT Wing dish

What does that mean I'm getting?

You need to say where you are (city, state) and what you will be subscribing to in detail for us to really help you.

Sorry, I'm new to this whole mess :p

I'm getting Top 200, SilverHD, Local's, a 722, and a 222

If is for 119-110 sat and wing dish, You will get 2 Dishes 500 1 Dish will run with a DPP Twin Lnbf for 119-110 sat, and the second one it's for the 61.5 or 148 or 129 Sat

sorry I live in Austin TX. So I'm getting two dishes... do they both point southeast? We have zero view of anything north.

Austin HD locals come from 61.5W which is decidedly in a different direction that 110W and 119W. The dishes will be facing a little over 90 degrees apart.

I live in the Austin market, and here's how mine's setup.

I've had a dish 1000 v1 for almost two years, receiving 110, 119, and 129. Worked very well, I've actually never had any problems with 129 like some.

Anyway, I recently added a 2nd VIP receiver, and also had a wing-dish installed for HD locals.

What they did was take my Dish 1000, and remove the 129 LNB, so now it just picks up 110 and 119. They added a Dish 500 with a single LNB pointing at 61.5, and all are connected to a switch which drives my three DVR's.

Like they said, the dishes point about 90-degrees apart it seems; the 1000 pointing southwest, the 500 wing dish southeast.

Looks funny, but works perfect. I've been very happy with performance of it.

if starting from scratch, I see no reason to use a 1000 dish for the first dish though. Could just use two 500's.
