What do you think of the Smithsonian Channel?

I have been quite impressed with the programming on Smith...nice mix and alternative to other HD line-up.

Agreed! I don't get to watch a lot of TV, so repeats are pretty much a non-issue for me. I don't see SMITH much, and as others mentioned often forget about it where it is in the EPG. Last night I stumbled onto the doc about kamikaze. Great PQ for most of it! I joined several minutes into it and was only planning a "flyby", but ended up watching the whole thing...

another voom channel with repeats over and over,dish need to cut this one too or tell the program provider too up there content,this sh-t is getting old.

When Discovery HD Theater came on, they did the same thing. A lot of repeats - actually they did three hour blocks of repeats all day long, changing the schedule once per day and repeating a lot of stuff. They have to build a library of material and that takes awhile. Hang in there and be patient.
