What does internet connection give me?

I have a 722 and 222 in my system. What if any benifit does connecting to the internet get me?

Also if I just connect it to the 722 does that give connection to the 222?

You can use Dish On Demand and download some movies and programs. Not sure what the difference is between using it or the DVR. Main benefit is the Dish Remote Access which allows you to control your DVR from anywhere.

Also if I just connect it to the 722 does that give connection to the 222?
