We were trying to watch the Indians and Angels game tonight on channel 431HD and on the guide it states the game with the letters (JIP) and the game is not viewable. What does JIP mean. Thanks :what:what:what

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the HD RSNs being part time on Dish. The bandwidth was most likely being shared with an east coast game which hadn't ended yet.

JIP = Joined in Progress, usually you see this on Saturday, when FOX has exclusive television rights for the game of the week block from 4-7. We see this when the Mets play the Marlins in Florida and their Saturday games start at 6PM, SNY picks up the feed at 7PM.

It's probably your first time. Us people on the west coast get JIP games on Dish for almost every home & road games that are the Pacific Time Zone. Last week we had a game that didn't start til the 6th inning.

It simply means that with Dish, if you like sports, you get jipped sometimes.

Speaking of which. I just got jipped because the Braves game is only in SD. :|
