What is latest software version for 722?

What is the latest software version for the 722? Where can I go in the future to see the software versions?
also what is the latest address for whatever replaced "tech portal"?

I was wondering the same thing?
The last two months there's been like 3 different firmware updates and am currently on L729!
But I did notice with the new firmware that it's got slow response on channel surfing or menu....
Does any one know what they changed?

L7.29 is the most current SW version on the 722. I'm pretty certain the firmware updates you are referring to were backend fixes and nothing big as far as feature launches.

I used to be able to skip forward through commercials without getting a blast of annoying sound. But now the sound comes back as fast as the video. (Same on my 612's.) I'm not too happy about this "backend fix".

Thanks for the info. There used to be a web site for technical where one could go and see an entire list of software updates for all the Echostar boxes. I am sure someone out there knows of internet address or at least a Dirt member.

I'm sure that this issue you see wasn't part of the "fix" implemented. The fixes put out were for connectivity issues I believe.
