What is NBC's "Football Night in America" obscuring?

I noticed this tonight. While analyzing a play in the Vikings / Steelers game, I noticed there were portions of certain Vikings' jerseys that were "blurred out. One was the low back and another was low abdomen. What were they obscuring? This wasn't motion blur. It was intentional. Just curious.

I saw the game and didn't notice anything, I did NOT see the reply's your talking about.

I saw the game, too. It wasn't present during the game. I saw it on NBC's "Football Night in America" during an analysis (not a highlight reel).

I don't know then, have to see if it's apparent in any other reviews tonight.

Maybe is was spittle on the screen from Olbermann.

Most likely a logo for something that either isn't an NBC sponsor, or competes with one of GE's products.

My guess is that NBC is obscuring quality...their HD is the pits!!!
