My wife brought me a small plastic thing in it's own special bottle. Been scratching my head over this thing. Possibly just a strange toy but maybe a medical device???

The vaned metallic thing at the bottom is a catalyst for a sterilization solution. I used to use those, but no longer remember what chemicals it used. IIRC when the sterilization was complete, there was no residue left (such as thimerosol) to which I was alergic.

Yup, definitely contact lens holder, I use to have/use them when I wore contacts.

The chemical used is a peroxide solution. I use the same thing for cleaning my rigid gas permeable lenses.
