recently got a VIP 612 dvr and replaced my vip 222k which relocated to the bedroom. Also have a VIP 211 in the spare bedroom from the second feed that has no problems. Having problems with the 612 and 222 picking up an adequate signal. Didn't know if it was because my multiswitch is not compatible. It's a ROC SW24 2 x 4.

The sw24 is legacy equip and can only run 4 tuners. If you want to run the 612 222 and 211, you need 5 feeds using legacy equip. The 612 and 222 both need 2 feeds
The easiest solution is to swap the dish for a 1000.2 or 1000.4 which can run 3 rec regardless of single or dual tuner
